"I've been meaning to tell you that I went to a reunion of sorts the other day with some good girlfriends that I get together with about once a year. The very first one to see me nearly jumped out of her chair because she noticed my pretty new smile immediately! She couldn't stop staring and exclaiming over and over how beautiful my smile is now. All the other girls noticed too and it was as if the whole evening was all about me and how great I look! I was in heaven! They all went on and on about it and of course I was just beaming with happiness! I've never felt better about the way I look than I do now, and we're not even done yet! I just can't explain what it's like to consciously remind myself that I DON'T have to cover my mouth when I speak/smile/laugh instead of consciously thinking about how BAD my teeth look everytime I open my mouth to do anything. It probably seems silly to go on and on about it, but unless someone has had this kind of self-image changing experience I don't think they can truly appreciate the impact it has on someone's life.
